RemissionRoute is designed to fit into the ecosystems that already exist. Below is our integration roadmap, clearly marked by what is live and what is coming.
Electronic Health Records (EHR)
Connecting patient-reported outcomes from RemissionRoute directly into a patient's existing health record is a high-priority goal. We are working toward FHIR R4-compliant data exchange β the international standard for health record interoperability.
HL7 FHIR R4-compliant data export, enabling symptom and engagement data to be pushed to any FHIR-compatible EHR system.
Patient-facing integration with Epic's MyChart portal, allowing RemissionRoute check-in data to appear alongside existing health records at partnered hospital systems.
Integration with MEDITECH Expanse, widely deployed across Canadian community hospitals and regional health authorities.
Cerner is used at several BC and Ontario health authorities. We are evaluating integration pathways as part of our institutional roadmap.
Hospital & Cancer Centre Systems
Deploying RemissionRoute within a cancer centre means connecting to the oncology workflow tools already in use. Our institutional integration roadmap is shaped directly by conversations with BC Cancer and other regional health networks.
Structured coordination with BC Cancer's patient support model, including alignment with their existing symptom management protocols and care navigator workflows.
Pre-visit symptom summaries delivered in structured format directly to oncology clinic EMR inboxes, reducing manual charting and improving appointment efficiency.
Closing the loop on referrals β notifying patients of referral status, appointment confirmations, and preparation steps without additional administrative burden.
Integration with in-house and community pharmacy systems to support medication adherence reminders for patients on oral chemotherapy regimens.
Wearables & Health Devices
Passive, continuous data from wearables can significantly enrich symptom monitoring β detecting fatigue, sleep disruption, and activity decline before a patient has even opened the app. This tier is on our roadmap for 2026β2027.
Read-only access to step count, heart rate, and sleep data from Apple Health, with patient-controlled permission to enrich symptom timelines.
Android equivalent β activity and vitals data surfaced alongside patient-reported symptoms in the longitudinal view.
Direct device API integration for patients who use dedicated fitness trackers as their primary wearable data source.
Relevant for patients with diabetes who are also undergoing cancer treatment β a population with compounded monitoring needs.

First wearable integrations, enabling passive health data to enrich patient-reported symptom timelines with patient consent.
FHIR R4 Pilot
Pilot FHIR-compliant data exchange with a partnered cancer centre, enabling structured symptom data to flow into the EHR environment.

Broader Epic, MEDITECH, and Cerner integration rollout across partnered hospital systems and regional health authorities.
